Technical Writer – Barcelona/Remote/Flexible

Experience and Essential Skills

University Degree or final years, or equivalent relevant work experience.

Understanding of Information Management and Online Publication fundamentals.

Experience writing documentation.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.

Experience of working with software developers on API documentation and system architecture

Creation of technical content projects from scratch

Ability to work independently

Knowledge of professional software engineering documentation best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding documentation standards, APIs, content management systems (CMS), documentation release, testing, and related operations

Experience working with documentation version control tools and documentation generators

Experience in communicating with customers, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy

Hands-on familiarity in many disparate technologies, typically ranging from front-end user interfaces through to back-end systems and all points in between

Experience in writing for a global audience and documentation localization best practices

Main Responsibilities

Prepare, review, revise, and maintain technical documents, including software and systems engineering, system operations, testing, and user documentation
Gather and analyze technical and product information from various sources to document new or changing product functionality
Lead all documentation efforts within the software development team to support our customers with new and existing features
Participate in our SCRUM meetings to understand the new features coming as well as with our marketing and inside sales team to gather feedback and write appealing articles for the market.
